Earnest, a lowly government official, spends his days listening to recordings of peoples private conversations. Eavesdropping, alone in his murky basement office, he takes a sick sort of pleasure in deciding the fate of those who he deems have broken the rules. That is until, one day, when he is forced to eavesdrop on his mother.

Following its run Earwig was commissioned by the Half Moon Festival in the Cork Opera House for a second run.
